The main dining room serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with many choices each day. Guests may enjoy fresh seafood, steak, chicken, pasta, soups, salads, desserts, and international dishes. On Alaska cruises, Holland America Line is also known for serving fresh Alaska seafood, including fish and other regional flavors inspired by the destination.
There are also casual dining choices on the ship, such as Lido Market, burgers and fries at Dive-In, pizza, deli items, desserts, coffee, and 24-hour room service. Some ships also offer specialty dining restaurants for an extra charge, including steakhouses, seafood, Italian, French, Asian, and Dutch-style dining options. How to Get Window Seating
Window seating is not always guaranteed, but you can request it. The best way is to ask for a window table when you book your cruise or when selecting your dining time. Once you are on the ship, visit the dining room host or maître d’ as early as possible and politely request a table by the window. You can also ask again when you arrive for dinner.
For the best chance, choose an early dining time, arrive early, and let the dining staff know you would love a window seat to enjoy the Alaska snow and glacier views while eating.
